Gurus for Hire, Enlightenment for Sale (16 parts Dharma teachings of over 24 hours!!!)

by on Feb.28, 2011, under Tsem Tulku Rinpoche

The first Dharma teaching of its kind, Gurus for Hire, Enlightenment for Sale provides an insider’s guide to the precarious, often tricky Guru-disciple relationship. His Eminence Tsem Tulku Rinpoche explains with great clarity the meaning of spiritual practice in the context of our contemporary lives and how we can apply it in our everyday lives.

Gurus for Hire, Enlightenment for Sale also dares to reveal and debunk the many myths that surround spiritual practice, Gurus, Dharma centres and all the political games that are played behind closed temple doors. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche reveals the ups, downs, benefits and troubles of Dharma centres all around the world and shows us how, after all, it is one of the most liberating places we’ll ever know.

Tsem Rinpoche Saving Lives at Restaurant

by on Feb.02, 2011, under Tsem Tulku Rinpoche

Tsem Rinpoche was dining at a restaurant and saw many fishes in two glass tanks and knew the fate of these fishes, eels and frogs – they will take turn to be on dinner plates.

Immediately, Rinpoche called a few students and the “rescue team” headed to the restaurant and bought as many lives as they can and transport them over to a big lake to be liberated.

A total of 92 lives were saved that night.
